Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah are meeting the 13 Chief Ministers of the BJP ruled states tomorrow to take stock of development and social welfare work being done. Along with 13 CM’s, 6 Deputy CM’s and few cabinet ministers are also expected to attend the meeting.
This will be Modi’s third meeting with the chief ministers since 2014 who has been effectively scouting the party cadres to prepare themselves for the LS elections coming in half of the Indian States by 2018 followed by general elections in 2019. This however will be the first one ever since BJP has joined hands with JD(U) in Bihar.
The CM’s are expected to give presentation of various schemes being implemented in their respective states and the meet is also to discuss about the agenda of aiming 350 seats by 2019 since they narrowly missed on over 100+ seats in the last election. The meet may also have the hearing about the implementation of the GST and how it has fared so far but has not been confirmed yet. Apart from the above, the other schemes like Swachch Bharat and PM Yojana schemes and its effectiveness may also be discussed since Govt has been spending lot of time and money on these flagship schemes.
The outcome of the meet would be to not only retain the leadership and power but also try to expand them in all possible ways.
