PM Modi tweets on World Press Freedom Day

May 3 is celebrated as World Press Freedom Day every year, the day rises mindfulness of the significance of freedom of the press. The day also retells governments of their responsibility to reverence and support the right to freedom of communication. The World press freedom day is initiated by United Nations.

The World Press Freedom Day is perceived globally. The day is also perceived to pay honor to journalists who lost their lives during they were occupied on press stories.

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi restated his firm backing to the freedom of the media and press. Mr. Modi said that freedom is vivacious in a democracy

Today morning PM tweeted and he said that world press freedom day restate our firm backing towards a free and lively press and it is necessary for the democracy.

PM mentioned that social media channels have become the active intermediate for engaging and it has enhanced robustness to press liberty.
