NEW DELHI: Police have arrested five people and detained four others in connection with the attack on a African nationals in South Delhi’s Mehrauli area.
“We have arrested two people from South Delhi and three others have been detained in connection to the attack,” said DCP (South) Ishwar Singh.
Three cases have been registered in connection to the attack on African Nationals.
Police said, two of the cases have been registered under the charge of criminal intimidation; the one has been registered under charges of causing hurt and wrongful confinement.
On Thursday late evening at least six African nationals were attacked in two different incident. The victims complained that they were abused on racial lines. The victims of the incident include two women, one from South Africa and another from Uganda.
According to police no African National has been seriously injured in the particular incident.
