In a shocking incident, a school principal in Anpara in Sonebhadra District, Uttar Pradesh has allegedly ordered around 15 class VIII girls to remove their skirt and parade around the school campus. The students claimed that their only fault was that they were not able to recite the Sanskrit shlokas, a task that was given to them by the Principal, as part of their homework. It is also alleged that the female Principal Meena Singh had recorded the footage of the girls removing their skirt and parading around the campus.
As soon as the news about the incident broke out, the parents of the students immediately informed the district magistrate and asked him to take immediate action. As per reports, Sonebhadra DM Chandra Bhushan Singh has ordered the suspension of Principal Meena Singh. The DM has also passed instructions to the general manager of Anpara Thermal Power Project, which runs the school, to take appropriate action.
However, Meena Singh claims that the allegations are false and that she never gave such an order. She said that she just asked the girls to go outside of the classroom and report their failure to complete their homework to their parents.
Meanwhile, a departmental enquiry has been ordered to ascertain the truth.
