Radio City’s digital arm, radiocity.in hosted ‘Karaala Kathegalu 2.0 Open Mic’, an on-ground extension of the digital and on-air show that takes the art of horror storytelling a notch higher. The Open Mic was held on 30th October, 2018, following the Halloween week, at Atta Galatta, Bangalore. Featuring talented storytellers Swetha Anand and Imran Pasha, it was an evening of fear-striking horror stories, hosted by Vishwas Kamath, wherein 15 participants got a chance to showcase their talent, in an open forum. Despite the show being aired in Kannada, the on-ground event invited participation across languages, encouraging the audience to come forward with their stories.
‘Karaala Kathegalu’ is Radio City’s digital show streaming on Radio City Kannada, an Online Radio Station hosted on radiocity.in. Since inception, it is widely popular and has been appreciated by the listeners. The first season of the show was a runaway success and a proud recipient of the Golden Mike Awards, encouraging the show to be taken on-air as well. Currently, in its second season which premiered from September 23rd, 2018, ‘Karaala Kathegalu’ terrifies the audience with brilliant horror stories, every Sunday. The season features 24 episodes & will go on till March, 2019.
