After Congress president Sonia Gandhi criticized the three year rule of Modi government, the BJP trained its guns on Rahul Gandhi, saying that he is the only youth who is not happy with the working of the BJP government. In a mocking statement, the BJP said that Congress should worry about its depleting strength rather than worry about the achievements of Modi government. The BJP also rejected claims made by Congress that there’s fear in the country under the current BJP government. The BJP pointed out to the anti-Sikh riots and the Emergency, saying that the fear was quite strong during these times when the Congress was in power at the center.
Speaking about the accusations made by Congress president Sonia Gandhi, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said, “Sonia Gandhi need not worry about the Modi government’s work. Due to its pro-poor policies, people have realized what they lost during the 10-year rule and what they have got under the three-year rule. They have shown their support to it often.” Patra also cornered Rahul for his statement that he was reading holy Hindu scriptures to fight RSS and BJP. Patra said that reading such books will help Rahul understand a virtuous party like BJP whereas people will need to read about scams to understand the Congress party.
