Rahul’s PM aspirations is proof of dynasty politics, says BJP

After Rahul Gandhi expressed his desire to take charge of the Congress party, the BJP accused Rahul Gandhi and his family of dynastic politics. When Rahul Gandhi becomes the president of Congress party, he would become eligible for becoming the Prime Minister, provided that his party achieves majority in the Lok Sabha. Rahul is on a two-week tour of the United States and he expressed his desire while he was addressing students at the University of California, Berkeley. Rahul Gandhi defended himself by saying that dynasty politics runs into India, and this is how India runs. BJP supporters responded to this statement by saying that change is the only constant and may be its time to change the trend of dynasty politics, starting with Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul gave examples of people like Akhilesh Yadav, Stalin, Abhishek Bacchan, and Mukesh and Anil Ambani, saying that all of these people are examples of dynastic legacy. He said that this is how India works. He said that the question that needs to be asked is whether the person is capable or not. Here also Rahul appears to have hit himself since everyone in the country knows how capable Rahul Gandhi is and what political background he has. Rahul also targeted the BJP government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that the government is trying to spread anger and hatred. Rahul talked about the murder of Gauri Lankesh and violence related to cow protection.
