Superstar Rajnikanth has got a warning and the person who has done is Sundar Shaekhar who is claiming himself to be the son of underworld don Haji Mastan Mirza.
He had sent a legal notice to the Superstar asking him not to portray his father as a ‘smuggler and an underworld don’. This comes at the time when Rajni is expected to portray this role in Director Pa Ranjith’s next film. Pa Ranjith’s last venture Kabali was a runaway hit.
‘I further state that you are depicting my godfather and a well-known national political leader as a ‘smuggler and underworld don’, which is highly unacceptable and I strongly oppose such misrepresentation of my godfather,’ said Sundar in the notice. He further went ahead to add ‘There is a huge political party behind him and all party workers are in a state of anger on such misrepresentation of him as a smuggler or underworld don and if any such attempt is made by you to produce any such film, then I shall be constrained to adopt legal proceedings and it is needless to say that the same shall be entirely at your risks as to costs and consequences, which please note.’
Finally Sundar also expressed his wish. He said ‘If you are really interested in making films on the lifestyle of late shri Haji Mastan, even I am interested in making a biopic on my godfather as I am a producer and a represented lifetime member of Indian Motion Picture Producer’s Association.’
Rajnikanth is yet to reply to this legal notice and the entire Kollywood film fraternity is shaken by this and looking forward to the Superstar’s response to the allegation.
