Rahul Gandhi, Congress vice president, attacked Indian Prime Minister on the ever-changing rules relating to the deposition of notes ban.
The Congress vice-president on Tuesday tweeted, “RBI changes rules like Modiji changes clothes,”.
Gandhi last year had accused PM Modi of changing his clothes “16 times” during a five-day US visit.
The tweet comes after the government’s latest announcement on the deposit of scrapped notes. According to the latest announcement made a person can deposit onld denomination notes valuing up to Rs5000. If anyone deposits more than the new limit value a suitable reason will have to be given.
In a series of tweets, P Chidambaram, a Congress senior leader tweets, “RBI makes new rule of deposit…. FM contradicts… who should the citizen believe? .. Neither was credibility.’
However later the Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley clarifies that no one will be questioned or asked for depositing any value of banned currency in a go, but multiple deposits may raise queries.
