Recipe : Tiranga Roll Slice

Ingredients

For the white layer:

1/2 Tropical cup fine cashew nut powder + 1/2 teaspoon ghee + 1/4th Tropical Cup condensed milk + 1/4 teaspoon rose water + 1/2 tablespoon milk powder

For the saffron layer:

1/2 Tropical cup fine almond powder + 1/2 teaspoon ghee + 1/4th Tropical Cup condensed milk + 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder + 1/8 tsp orange food coloring (optional) + 1/2 tablespoon milk powder

For the green layer:

1/2 Tropical cup fine pistachio powder + 1/2 teaspoon ghee + 1/4th Tropical Cup condensed milk + 1/8 tsp green food coloring (optional) + 1/2 tablespoon milk powder

DIRECTIONS

For the white layer:

Place cashew nut powder, ghee and the condensed milk in Inspire Series Frypan and cook over medium low heat for 5 minutes stirring continuously until mixtures is well combined. Add rose water and mix well. Switch off the flame and stir in the milk powder until firm dough is formed. Set aside to cool.

For the saffron layer:

Place almond powder, ghee and the condensed milk in Inspire Frypan and cook over medium low heat for 5 minutes stirring continuously until mixtures is well combined. Add cardamom powder and orange food coloring and mix well. Switch off the flame and stir in the milk powder until firm dough is formed. Set aside to cool.

For the green layer:

Place pistachio powder, ghee and the condensed milk in Inspire Series Frypan and cook over medium low heat for 5 minutes stirring continuously until mixtures is well combined. Add green food coloring and mix well. Switch off the flame and stir in the milk powder until firm dough is formed. Set aside to cool.

Place the saffron dough ball, white dough ball and the green dough ball one above the other and Roll them out evenly using a rolling pin.

Now roll it into a tight log like a swiss roll. Refrigerate for 3 – 4 hours. Trim the uneven edges. Cut into slices and serve.
