Apple Inc is very much known company for its gadgets and iphone is the set example. The increase in sales of iphone has made it very clear way to have thought of manufacturing mobiles in India.
The company is discussions with Indian government to reconnoiter manufacturing the mobile phones locally in India. WSJ (Wall Street Journal) stated on Tuesday, the approach of Apple Inc is in direction of creating path in the world’s second-largest mobile phone market.
India is having buyers, market, money and people with good earnings and thought of adopting technologies, so the company has made a good move.
Also our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has put seed of technology manufacturing in the country via ‘Make in India’ scheme. In June 2016 government excused foreign retailers for three years from an obligation to locally source 30 percent of goods to be sold in the stores. Apple inc will be able to open its retail store in the zone or area where the company is dealing with no sale or low sale by making phone locally in India.
About Make in India Concept
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched “Make in India” on 25 September 2014. In putting this scheme, the major aim is to bring the employment in the country and skill enhancement in different sectors of the economy
The scheme hopes to invite capital and technological investment in India and the recent example is Apple inc.
After the initiative of Make in India scheme India emerged as the top destination globally for FDA, which means foreign direct investment means by keeping behind United States of America and China as well.
With facts, India can be the hub of electronics, government has target to attain zero import by 2020 of electronics.
On 13th February 2016 Make in India Week event was held at the MMRDA Grounds at the Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai in which 2500 international and 8000 domestic, remote government delegations from 68 countries and business sides from 72 countries participated.
Further a new initiative ‘Make in Maharashtra’ is underway by the Government of Maharashtra. It has main aim to build a business welcoming atmosphere in Maharashtra by creating ease of having business as much as possible. Also it looks to target to increase (FDA)foreign direct investment and local investment in the region.
