Offers its strong digital reach to the NGO to encourage more animal lovers to offer shelter & love to dogs;

                                                             Launches campaign #RoposoWOOF

New Delhi, July 18, 2016Roposo, India’s favourite fashion social network, has joined hands with Friendicoes SECA to augment awareness and sensitise more people about pet adoption. The NGO will be able to leverage the strong digital presence of Roposo and connect with its large consumer base to promote its mission of offering a loving home to animals in need. Roposo will enhance the impact of Friendicoes’ on-going endeavours in the realm of adoption of abandoned dogs with the campaign #RoposoWOOF. The hashtag will be pushed across all its social handles along with pictures of the event.

Since the 1970s, Friendicoes SECA has been at the forefront of animal adoption, rights and care in the Delhi-NCR region. Based out of Defence Colony in South Delhi, the shelter offers an Out Patient’s Department. The in-house clinic for strays accommodates about 150-200 animals at any point of time, two operation theatres, a Lab & X-ray unit as well as a sanctuary in Gurgaon that houses about a thousand animals. There is also a round-the-clock ambulance service for strays as well as an emergency night clinic for pets.

Speaking on the association, Mona Thangaraj, Head of HR at Roposo, shared, “We’re huge dog lovers here at Roposo and while we were very keen to work with Friendicoes, we wanted to go beyond mere funding. Instead, we thought we would support their key reason to exist: the adoption of abandoned puppies. To this end, we’re pleased and proud to launch #RoposoWOOF – our network, their puppies. We’ll be leveraging our tremendous reach as a social media platform to raise awareness about the plight of these beautiful, loving creatures and hopefully get more than just a few of them adopted. Also, we will be working with Friendicoes to spread awareness internally on dog rights and how to help them when they are injured.”

Geeta Seshamani, Co-founder & Vice President, Friendicoes said, “We are pleased that Roposo has decided to take up the cause we have been working for over the last few decades. With the platform’s strong digital presence, we are certain that the #RoposoWOOF campaign will encourage more people to understand the relevance of pet adoption and of offering love, care and shelter to our furry friends. Roposo’s consumer base dovetails perfectly with our target group and we look forward to a long and continued association with the social network.”

Roposo will also be organising an internal session in association with the NGO. An animal rights activist from Friendicoes will educate the employees on dog adoption, rights, and pet as well as stray care.
