Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday was detained from hoisting the national flag in Karnakkiyamman School in Kerala. This was done after a memo was issued to the school by the District Collector which said that a political leader should not be allowed to hoist a flag in an aided school which would be deemed inappropriate.
The memo also said that only a teacher or elected representative of the people was allowed to do so. This was challenged by BJP which said that Bhagwat would hoist the flag. It seems as a political vendetta against the National party by the ruling party of Kerala which is at warring ends, the issue which rose after he beef ban where the state has witnessed many rallies and protests against the ban. There were few other issues as well which has plagued the relationship between the State and the Central Government.
The incident comes at the time when Prime Minister has finished his speech in the Red Fort where he called upon all the citizens to work upon unison to bring greater prosperity to the nation. He also stated “Everybody is equal in our nation, no one big or small. We together can bring a positive change in the nation.”
