One of the leading names in K-12 education in India, Ryan International School recently became a proud recipient of the Samson Daniel Award. The honour was conferred upon the renowned school chain by HelpAge India, to recognize its contribution towards the betterment of senior citizens.
For the uninitiated, HelpAge India works to improve the lives of disadvantaged and aged people and plays an important role in making the lives of senior citizens easier, through active participation by school students.
Among the students of Ryan Group, Malay Shah from Ryan International School, Malad-ICSE, made the highest contribution to the HelpAge India Cause with his donation. Malay, along with his family, was felicitated by the Bollywood actress Shamita Shetty.
Shetty also flagged off the Intergenerational Walkathon in Mumbai, which witnessed participation from over 500 participants, including senior citizens, Ryan Group students, and the HelpAge staff.
In a bid to recognize the Group’s efforts towards the cause, a special felicitation ceremony was organized in New Delhi by HelpAge India, on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons. The award was presented to Dr.Snehal Pinto, Director, Ryan International Group of Institutions, by Dr. Vinod K Paul, Member of NITI Aayog.
