The owners of the Ryan International School chain now face arrest after the Punjab and Haryana High Court today rejected their anticipatory bail petitions.
Justice Inderjit Singh, while hearing the anticipatory bail petition of Ryan Augustine Pinto, Rayan Augustine Francis Pinto, and Grace Pinto, issued a notice to the Haryana government for its reply.
The court also refused to stay their arrest following the brutal murder of seven-year-old Pradyuman Thakur, who was found with his throat slit in the washroom of Ryan’s Gurgaon branch.
The Ryan International group’s CEO Ryan Pinto and his parents, the group’s managing director had approached the High Court last week, seeking anticipatory bail.
On September 14, the Bombay High Court had rejected the anticipatory bail pleas of the three trustees of Ryan Group in connection with the murder of the boy.
Thakur, a class 2 student, was found with his throat slit in the school washroom in Gurgaon on September 8. Bus conductor Ashok was arrested in connection with the crime.
On Tuesday, the Haryana government wrote to the Centre seeking a CBI probe into the gruesome murder.
