Sai Praneeth who is 24 and hails from Hyderabad sealed his maiden title after a tough fought match which lasted 3 sets. The final scores read as 17-21, 21-17, 21-12
Sai Praneeth had won Canada Open Grand Prix last year and had also reached the finals of Syed Modi Grand Prix this year.
In the women’s finals, Tai Tzu Ying defeated World No.2 Carolina Marin to cement her No.1 position. This was Tai’s fifth consecutive super series title.
