In what could prove to be the major setback for Sasikala and her family is that her banners were removed yesterday from the Party Headquarters. While OPS faction claimed their first victory over this and expressed satisfaction over the arrest of TTV Dinakaran, Minister C.Ve Shanmugam of EPS faction said that the banners were removed voluntarily and not under anyone’s pressure or request. It is to be noted here that OPS faction has been demanding the ouster of Sasikala clan from the party apart from ordering CBI inquiry into Jayalalithaa’s death.
On the other hand, TTV Dinakaran who has been taken into custody was brought to Chennai late on Wednesday night by the Delhi Police who will take him to Kochi for further investigation on his bribery case. The case also got a new twist when a senior cop who is posted in the rank of ADGP has come under the scanner. The cop came to rescue Dinakaran in lieu of plump posting. The name is not revealed by the sources but the details of the cop’s talks has been recorded since the Delhi cops started tapping Dinakaran’s phone a while ago as soon as they got the tip off.
The talks on the other hand is still elusive between the OPS and EPS faction since both them have their own demands which cannot be met by either of the parties. The party loyalists are hoping for a common consensus to be arrived between them sooner.
