Saudi King Salman is in the news yet again and this time, the ultra rich monarch has spent a mind staggering USD100 Million for his Moroccan holiday. The king who travels along with a big entourage when ever he goes on a holiday is believed to have travelled along with not less than 1000 members this time which included his family members and top officials an the spends are worked out at USD100,000 per person on an average.
Though the King travels to various destinations frequently, Morocco is his favourite destination. The royal was greeted by Moroccan Prime Minister Saadeddine Othmani at Tangier airport in July as he made his way to his 74-acre purpose-built summer palaceMinisters, advisers and relatives were booked in to the city’s most luxurious hotels.
Luxury sedans and limousines including hundreds of Mercedes and Range Rovers were deployed to ferry the Royals. These were the King’s personal favourite vehicles.
This year’s visit is being hailed as a welcome boost for the local economy and the holiday is expected to account for 1.5 per cent of the country’s foreign tourism revenue which would help the African nation creating more employment opportunities.
King Salman owns properties around the world including several apartments in Paris, a chateau on the Côte d’Azur in France and a palace in Marbella.
