A high alert has been sounded across all airports in India ahead of the Republic day. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has increased the number of people posted across the domestic and international airports.
A high alert has been sounded due to the Republic day and security has been tightened at all arrival and departure points and all passengers have been requested to co-operate with the authorities. The steps had to be taken due to the increase in the number of cross border attacks that have taken place. These are precautionary steps that have been taken to avoid any untoward incident.
There was an intellgence report shared by the Interpol, with a security threat for Mumbai International Airport. The Cebtral Bureau of Investigation has received information that there is a bomb that would be on board a plane going to Kuala Lumpur, Malayasia. The information was passed on to O P Singh, the Director of the CISF. Planes going to Malaysia we checked thoroughly and Police forces of all states were also informed to stay on high alert.
The security threat to the India increases a lot every Republic day and Independence day with terrorists and militants trying to infiltrate the country and spreading terror.
