South Asian Throwball Championship to kick start in Bangalore
South Asian Throwball Championship To kick start in Bangalore in the month of March. 6 Asian Teams will participate in the same. The first ever South Asia Throwball Championship will have countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Shrilanka, Bhutan, Maldives along with our Indian Team. The Championship will take place at Kitoor Rani Chennama Stadium, Bangalore on 28,29 and 30 March.
Even though Throwball is a game which originated in India, and can be tracked back as one of the oldest games played, it hasn’t been recognized Globally. By organising the first ever South Asian Throwball Championship, the Federation is looking at picking up the momentum and being included at several international tournaments Said General Secretary throwball federation of India.
The federation has given marketing, promoting and execution rights for next 3 years to Bizwingz production house who are expert in event execution and promotion with experience of doing events in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Dubai and Middle East.
Indian Men’s and Women’s team have participated in many international tournaments and have won many games yet have not received the recognition they deserve. Throwball as also still does not have a lot of attention and we would like to change that. Through the tournament, we want to evoke excitement among people and bring the game into the spotlight Said the official Spokesperson of Indian Throwball Team Player.
