Bangalore: October 20, 2014: Students from 34 nationalities across the globe celebrated the festival of Diwali “the Festival of Lights” in all its traditional fervour with jubilation and enthusiasm at Canadian International School. The campus was decked with lanterns, painted pots, diyas and floral garlands. Such activities go a long way in enhancing the social and cultural development of the community in multi racial, multi lingual and multi cultural environment.
The event kicked off by lighting of the lamp by Shane Kells, Head of School & Ms Shweta Sastri, Executive Director, Canadian International School followed by plethora of performances like Skit, Bollywood Dance, National Anthem, traditional folk dances and songs, Mehandi, Religious programs, Dandiya, Fashion walk and many more cultural activities. There were also stalls as part of Diwali Sale and the proceeds from sale will go to the needy.
This Diwali Deep Mala dazzled the crowd with a colourful and energetic cultural program and other lively performances. We at CIS are very happy to celebrate Diwali with our students of diverse culture.
