Students from 37 nationalities celebrate the festival of colours

Bangalore, March 06, 2015: Holi, one of the most boisterous festivals of India, was celebrated with a splash of eco-friendly colours and an array of water guns by the students from 37 nationalities at Canadian International School (CIS).  The event was a superb sharing of culture and fun.  Cultural activities such as these help students assimilate and appreciate the richness and diversity of not just the local culture but also go a long way in enhancing the social and cultural fabric of CIS’s multi-cultural community.

Capture “CIS Students enjoyed splashing colours on friends.  It was a great experience for everyone as the festival of Holi signifies the coming together of different communities and the celebration of the spirit of universal brotherhood.  Wish you all a Happy Holi!” said one of the teachers – Vishwas Kulkarni.

What joy this season bring me!? I had so much fun playing with the colors. I think it was more of the waiting that got me going crazy with the water guns and the colors. Love Holi…said, Prashant Sunil Lakhwani IB2 student.

The best time of my life.  I couldn’t be more happier. The colors bring such happiness, specially to share it with my friends, said Pranitha Muralitharan – 10B student.

I could see the twinkle in my son’s eyes when he got his hands on that water gun, brought back memories of my childhood. This is what Holi does to you. It takes you back in time to enjoy those wonderful memories, said of the CIS Parent.

“We at CIS are very happy to celebrate Holi with our students of diverse culture.  We hope this festival of colors fills each & every student’s life with happiness.  CIS celebrates various festivals of our culture and every care is taken to provide joyous and festive moods to various celebrations, says Ms Shweta Sastri, Executive Director, Canadian International School.”
