Today Supreme Court has rejected to give an urgent hearing on a case that asks for VK Sasikala to be clogged from taking over as Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister until top court decides a distinct corruption case against Sasikala.
The petition was filed on 6th February, Friday, in which it was asked to put stay on the swearing-in of Sasikala as Tamil Nadu chief minister because there was conjecture that she will take the pledge the next day.
61 year old Ms Sasikala has been chosen by her party AIADMK to lead the Tamil Nadu government.
After demise of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, Mr. O Panneerselvam, he was asked to take the chair of CM. Later on, Sunday, by party AIADMK it was decided that he should be replaced by Ms Sasikala as she was closest to Ms Jayalalithaa and Mr Panneerselvam to go by his party’s wishes, he resigned.
Now he wants to keep his job as CM and that the written provision to Ms Sasikala of 120 of the party’s 135 legislators has been demanded by a mixture of coercion and fake.
In Tamil Nadu at present social media campaigns are uniting against Ms Sasikala and Mr Panneerselvam should remain in charge.
