Supreme Court issued derision a notification high court judge, Justice CS Karnan for razing accusations against former judges of the Supreme Court and sitting judges of Madras High Court, first time.
Calcutta High Court judge, Justice Karnan lately written to the Prime Minister razing accusations charges against former Judges of Supreme Court and sitting judges of Madras High Court and requested Narendra Modi to instruction an enquiry against the judges.
Bench of seven-Judge that headed by Chief Justice of India Justice JS Khehar and including all senior judges – that is hearing the derision case suo motu – also instructed that no legal and administrative work be given to Justice Karnan. He has been asked to present before the bench on 13th February for hearing. In the hearing, Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi contended that the Supreme Court must fixed an instance by taking act in contradiction of Justice Karnan as writing offensive letters to Prime Minister on retired and present judges.
Early to this issue, he also made a disturbance when he filed a complaint with the National Commission for Scheduled Castes claiming that he was ill-treated by companion judge in year 2011 because he was a Dalit. In other instance, he was a Judge at Madras High Court and he stayed the transfer ordered by the Supreme Court collegium moving him to Calcutta High Court. He had to apologise to the Supreme Court later on.
