Assam floods: Situation improves marginally; 45,000 people still affected across six districts

The flood situation in Assam continued to improve on Tuesday although nearly 45,000 people are still suffering across 170 villages.  Nearly 6,000 hectares of agricultural land are submerged, said a flood report. Assam flood toll rises to 44, five more killed
