India has claimed that the visit by Taiwanese delegation has no political meaning and China should not worry about it.
Notably, China protested against the Taiwanese delegation’s visit to India on Wednesday, to which India reacted strongly, calming down Chinese concerns.
Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said that India is aware of the visit by the Taiwanese academics and business persons, including a couple of legislators.
He also said that these informal groups have visited India in the past as well for business, religious and tourist purposes.
He claimed that there is nothing unusual about this visits and China should not read any political meanings.
