Tallest Flag Installed in Punjab at Attari Wagah

On Sunday, tallest national flag in the country measuring 360 feet was lifted at the Attari-Wagah of Punjab. Before this in Ranchi a flag with 293 feet was highest in India.  This new flag will be visible from Lahore in Pakistan.

The flag is consisted with 120 feet of length and 80 feet of breadth.

Senior BJP leader and Punjab Local Bodies Minister Anil Joshi lifted the flag.


Mr Joshi said in his statement that maintenance contract of the flag is given to a private company for next three years. The project cost was Rs 3.6 crore.

As per sources, Pakistan Rangers showed their objection in installing and they spoke to BSF in this regard.
