Tamil Nadu Governor C Vidyasagar Rao will be in Chennai today amid the AIDMK crisis.
The bitter war of words has fueled speculation about the assembly functioning and chief minister’s post.
Both the leaders, AIADMK general secretary VK Sasikala and former CM O Panneerselvam are claiming supoort of majority of MLAs.
C Vidyasagar Rao also holds additional responsibility of governing Tamil Nadu as well as Maharashtra.
Sasikala and her supporters have claimed that the governor is feared of some pressure and not acting for the people of Tamil Nadu. Her supporters also blamed Modi government and claimed that the centre fueled the rivalry.
Union Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu has denied all such charges.
Sasikala and Panneerselvam, both the leaders have constantly claimed the support of majority of MLAs.
It is believed that after the revelation of O Panneerselvam, Sasikala had a meeting with party MLAs and sent them to an undisclosed location to keep them together. It was also speculated that Sasikala will parade her MLAs before the President of India if governor delays in proceedings.
