Telecom Regulatory Authority of India proposes Wi-Fi price as Rs 20 per GB

TRAI now plans to bring down data rates to 2 paise per MB or say Rs. 20 per GB. TRAI plans to increase Wi-Fi hotspot diffusion in the country.

As per sources, TRAI plans to let small-time entrepreneurs, individuals to deliver high-speed internet to the customers.

The government authority trusts when increasing the network touch and thickness across the country, it will allow get internet at affordable price.

It is said that increase in acceptance of Public Wi-Fi will take the capacity off from the telecom operators therefore improvement in other services like call excellence and broadband speeds will be visible.

TRAI said that Wi-Fi hotspots are grown at 568 percent from year 2013 to year 2016 which is enormous.
