At the event of Ugadi Milan Celebrations, PM Narendra Modi targeted terrorism as the biggest challenge to the humanity and asked everyone to be inspired by the ancient scriptures to fight the evil of terror.
He also said that the Terrorism has gripped the entire world and thrown a challenge to humanity. He invoked Jatayu from ancient Ramcharitmanas and claimed that he was the first one to fight against terrorism. PM also claimed that Jatayu gave the message of fearlessness.
PM Modi also claimed that understanding India’s diversity would go a long way in preventing disputes. He said that “Ek Bharat shreshtha bharat is the clarion call of our government and would strengthen the feeling of oneness and unity amongst all Indians.“
Speaking on the occasion of the Ugadi Milan celebrations in the national capital, the PM Modi also emphasised that diversity of India was its identity as well as its strength.
PM Modi also said that festivals are a great reflection of the changing facets of nature and linked to our culture and traditions.
The function was attended by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal, Minister of Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad and a host of Union Ministers.
