- From 2 to 4 December will be held at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos de Madrid the sixth edition of FICOD 2014, an event organized by the Ministry of Industry, through the public entity Red.es.

Madrid, November 28, 2014 .- The sixth International Digital Content Forum will be held on 2, 3 and 4 December at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid, and will be inaugurated by the Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria, which will highlight the economic opportunities in this sector and the importance of the development of the digital content industry in Spain.
The International Digital Content Forum will host more than 6,500 attendees, with the participation of more than 50 national and international speakers and over 40 companies and 24 training centers will be present.
Nick Bilton, a columnist for The New York Times, will be the star speaker of FICOD Congress and discuss the future of technology trends and how the digital revolution is affecting the way we do business. Their reflections will be the starting point of an event that also will involve, among others, Laird Malamed, director of Operation Oculus; Urs Cete, CEO of Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments; Ian Livingstone, co-founder of Games Workshop; Carlos Baena, cofounder of Animation Mentor or Javier Buron, CEO of SocialBro; they will cover the latest trends in the audiovisual industry, music, video games, advertising and digital marketing, apps and social networks, channel ecommerce, elearning, publications or technology products and services for digital content.
FICOD also an opportunity for companies, entrepreneurs and investors, as business opportunities and agreements between the various players in the sector will be generated. The First Hackathon for Samsung Gear S will be held during the first day of FICOD and participants will compete for 12 intense hours for a prize of € 10,000, through the creation of applications that leverage the capabilities of this new device.
Festival FICOD FICOD Award recognizes the talent of the creators of short films made with mobile devices and within this activity takes place, in addition, the awarding of the Hackathon and presentation of “The shortest day” initiative, to give know the world of short films to mainstream audiences.
