Three Amity students killed and seven injured in accident in Delhi

Three engineering students of Amity University died and seven of their classmates have suffered serious injuries after the hired SUV they were travelling in collided with a tractor-trolley at Alipur in outer Delhi on Saturday late.

The accident occured on the GT Karnal Road near Karnal Police statiom. The three deceased have been identified as Ujjwal, Shikhar and Rajesh.

Police said the three deceased along with seven other students including three girls has hired as SUV to travel to Murthal.

“One of the injured told us that they had hired an SUV to have late nighter dinner at Murthal. When they reached GT Karnal Road, they car collided with a tractor-trolley carrying bricks.

A police personnel who had rushed to the incident site after learning the accident said The impact was so huge that left side of the SUV was completely damaged.

The car was being driven by another student. The injured students were rushed to hospital by police and locals. The doctors of the hospital had declared the three deceased brought dead. The other students have suffered serious head injuries and are being treated at Satyawadi Raja Harish Chander Hospital in Narela.

A senior police personnel who had visited the accident site said that seeing the damage of vehicle it seems the car was in huge speed and accident occured while the driver of the SUV was trying to overtake the vehicle.

Police said they have detailed the family members of the car-accident victims.
