Tigerair to touch down in the ‘Land of Nawabs’

Announces 3 weekly flights to Lucknow starting from 3rd December 2015

Singapore - Tigerair, the leading Singapore-based budget carrier announced the launch of new non-stop service between Singapore to Lucknow.  Starting from 3rd December 2015, Tigerair will be the only airline providing non-stop flights between Changi International Airport and Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport thrice a week.  The flights to Lucknow will be available three days a week operating on TuesdayThursday and Sunday.

Tigerair already flies to five Indian cities in South – Chennai, Bangalore, Trichy, Hyderabad and Kochi. The addition of the Lucknow route, will mark Tigerair’s foray into North India.

Lucknow is our first destination in our route map from North India.  We hope that the direct flights from Lucknow to Singapore will be helpful to boost tourism between the two countries.” said Mr. Teh Yik Chuan – Sales and Marketing Director for Tigerair Singapore.

With government-cum-business delegations from Singapore evincing interest in Lucknow’s infrastructure projects such as the proposed IT City, Night Safari at Greater Noida and the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, it has been witnessed that Lucknow is increasingly being viewed as a lucrative investment destination for Singaporeans.

Singapore played an important role in connecting Indians to South East Asia. It has the presence of a large and diverse Indian community and also hosts large number of Indian travellers. With world class tourist attractions like Gardens By The Bay, Sentosa , etc and  strong connectivity to even tier II cities like Lucknow, Singapore has emerged as leading leisure as well as business destination amongst  Indian consumers.

The commencement of the Lucknow-Singapore route by Tigerair will ensure hassle free travel to flyers from UP, who will no more have to travel to Singapore via Delhi or other major metros.

Tigerair currently operates a total of 41 weekly flights to Singapore from five Indian destinations. The airline also connects to Bali, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Perth, Taipei via Singapore, the gateway to amazing destinations in Asia Pacific and Connect to Sydney, Gold Coast and 11 more destinations with 50 weekly flights via Singapore in collaboration with Scoot.
