Top Pakistani websites hacked by Indian hackers on Pakistan’s Independence Day

Newspatrolling: In an unprecedented attack, Indian hackers are alleged to have hacked several Pakistani websites including Pakistan’s Defense Ministry website and Pakistan Railways website. No hacker group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but experts said that it is most likely a joint effort by several hacking groups in India. It may be recalled that hacking groups in India and Pakistan have been hacking each other’s country’s websites for several years now. However, today’s attack by Indian hackers is among the biggest and must have involved hundreds of hackers working simultaneously. The Indian hackers displayed the flag of India on the hacked websites and also played the national anthem. Pictures of Indian Army jawans killed in Kashmir were also displayed on the hacked Pakistani websites.

Some of the top Pakistani websites hacked include Ministry of Water and Power, Ministry of IT, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Climate Change, Ministry of Law and Justice, and Ministry of National Food Security and Research. Pakistani cyber security experts have closed the hacked websites and are in the process of restoring them. The hacking war between India and Pakistan has become quite commonplace and after this attack by Indian hackers, it is expected that Pakistani hackers will retaliate by hacking Indian websites.
