With elections around the corner, yet another film dealing with the loopholes prevalent within the country, as a wake-up call for the youth, is up for a summer release. The insightful trailer of national award-winning writer-director Ashwini Chaudhary’s “Setters” starring an interesting ensemble of actors such as Aftab Shivdasani, Shreyas Talpade, Sonnalli Seygall, Ishita Dutta, Pavan Malhotra, Vijay Raaz, Jameel Khan, Manu Rishi amongst others will be unveiled today.

The socio-political thriller cum research piece, inspired by true life events, exposes the 5000 crores industry dealing with the numerous rackets and scams that have infiltrated into the employment and education market to appease desperate youngsters vying for limited opportunities in government offices and colleges.  The film will give an in-depth insight into the real time modus operandi of this industry which is growing rapidly every year, with the director having researched upon real life scams before the commencement of filming late last year.

While the film is scripted by Siraj Ahmed, it is being produced by Lovely Films Production and NH Studioz. Shot across Banaras, New Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai and other cities, the film will release on 3rd May 2019. Acclaimed composers and music directors Salim Sulaiman have been roped in for the musical score.

Ashwini Chaudhary states, “As a story teller, the scope of the narrative excited me. It is a real time narrative that exposes the modus operandi of the mafia who have created a parallel nexus and always avoid incarceration due to money and muscle power”

Shreyans Hirawat of NH Studioz says, “ India is currently ranked amongst the top 3 countries in the world when it comes to these scams with over 2000 cases being reported every year from across India. Setters aims to bring to light this unnerving reality.”

Vikash Mani of Lovely Films Production elaborates, “Setters will reflect the new-age appetite for appealing content rooted in realism that every single participant of the education system will be able to relate to.”

Aftab Shivdasani reiterates, “The biggest curse the country has been facing for the last two decades is commercialization of education. Examination scams have virtually become a multi-crore industry today.”
