US President Donald Trump has said that he is considering military options on Venezuela due to the escalating crisis mentioning that the situation in the South American nation is in a “very dangerous mess”.
Trump who earlier had warned North Korea that even if they think about attacking US or its allies, they would get it in return which they had not even thought about even in their wildest dreams. This came after the news spread that North Korea is looking to attack Guam where few millions of Americans reside apart from its stationing of bombers.
Washington has slapped sanctions on President Nicolas Maduro and said he is ruling like a “dictator” trying to crush the opposition. Venezuela has replied back mentioning America should stop its “imperialist aggression.” It may be noted that even another nation Brazil is on crisis with the election due in next year and the ousted President Dilma Roussef said that it very unlikely that the election may take place in a democratic way.
“We have many options for Venezuela, including a possible military option if necessary,” Trump told reporters in New Jersey.
“We have troops all over the world in places that are very far away. Venezuela is not very far away and the people are suffering and they’re dying.” He further added “Venezuela is a mess. It is very dangerous mess and a very sad situation.”
