The Assam police has arrested two persons from Nagaon district in the case of lynching of two cow thieves.
D. Upadhaya, Superintendent of Police at Nagaon, claimed that the police has registered a case in the lynching incident and arrested two youths involved in the case.
The police is also identifying if there were more people involved in the lynching incident in which a mob in Kachomari village lynched two youth suspecting them as cow thieves.
Although the police was able to reach at the spot in time; however both the man succumbed to their injuries in a hospital.
During Monday, many people protested with the bodies of the youths and demanded strict action against the brutal killings.
The family of youths have claimed innocence of their behalf and told the reporters that both men were killed in cold blood.
The police has claimed that the prob has started in this case and strict action will be taken against the guilty.
