Ten people including two security personnel and two women suffered injuries in a grenade attack on Tuesday by militants in Kashmir’s Shopian.
The militants hiding at a government building launched grenades after security personnel including Central Armed Police Force and Kashmir state Police force was deployed at Singulu Chowk to neutralise militants hiding in a government building.
The militants attacked with grenades when they found themselves to be cornered by the security personnel.
However, missing the target, the bomb fell in a crowded area injuring several civilians.
The injured were rushed to nearest government hospital for medical attention.
Police said among the injured are two women and two CRPF persoonel.
According to doctors of the hospital the CRPF personnel have suffered injuries in their limbs.
“All grenade-attack injured are out of danger,” said a senior doctor of the hospital.
