Two Wow Women, Two Wizards and the Wild One

New Delhi, March 12, 2015: For last 13 years, the India Today Conclave has been the meeting point of the best and the brightest from across the globe. The India Today Group’s signature event in its 14th edition will bring together two of the world’s most beautiful women, two of the smartest brains in the world, and a self-confessed bad boy.

Katrina Kaif will recount her journey from a disastrous debut in 2003 to becoming the queen of Rs 100-crore films, while Lisa Haydon, the bubbly best friend from the indie hit Queen, will explain why she is more than her beauty or her dress.

Paying tribute to the home of chess and the zero, the Conclave will host India’s first grandmaster Viswanathan Anand and genius mathematician Manjul Bhargava. Anand is one of only six players in the history of chess to break the 2800 mark on the FIDE rating list. In April 2007, at the age of 37, he became the world number one for the first time and retained the title till 2013. The former world champion deconstructs his favourite moves in a session titled “Black, White, and Grey Cells: Checkmating Your Brain”.

Manjul Bhargava is the first person of Indian origin to win the Fields Medal in 2014, popularly known as the Nobel Prize of Mathematics. Bhargava is the Brandon Fradd Professor of Mathematics at Princeton University in New Jersey, the youngest ever person to be offered a full tenure. The first sign of his genius came when he won the prestigious Morgan Prize for Outstanding Research in Mathematics by an Undergraduate Student in 1996 at the age of 22.

From his first film Band Baaja Baaraat to his latest release Kill Dil, Ranveer Singh has made it his habit to play roles with more than 50 shades of grey. Off screen too, whether it is endorsing condoms or allowing himself to be roasted, the young actor believes in breaking every norm. In a session titled “Gone Boy: Coming of Age in Bollywood”, Ranveer will pay a song and dance tribute to growing up amidst films.
