U.K. reduces threat level from Critical to Severe

U.K. Prime Minister Teresa May yesterday said that the terror threat level has been reduced from Critical to Severe after the Manchester bombing.

“The public should be clear about what this means. A threat level of ‘severe’ means an attack is highly likely — the country should remain vigilant,” May said.

Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre which deals with issuing statements about the threat level and continue monitoring and taking actions on the same has downgraded the threat level after few who is suspected behind the bombing has been arrested.

Salman Abedi, 22, a British national of Libyan descent attacked during the Ariana Grande concert when the arena was jam packed which later led to the arrest of his father and brother in Libya along with few others which led to the Government deploying armed cops who will patrol  events in Manchester, London and elsewhere this weekend which will gradually be phased out after Monday.

Lot of leaders condemned the attack and Ariana Grande has announced that she would be returning back to perform for the benefit of victims which saw some 22 losing their lives apart from some 60 being injured.
