UBM India launches Security and Fire Expo 2015

1st July, Chennai: UBM India, host of IFSEC India, today flagged off ‘Security and Fire Expo 2015’ at the Chennai Trade Centre. The event was inaugurated by R Nand Kumar, Founder President, ESAI. The three day trade show will be held from 1st -3rd July 2015 and is supported by the Electronic Security Association of India (ESAI).

SAFE 2015, in addition to bringing together the security and fire industry in the region, provided an industry platform for organisations to capitalise the potential of South India security market while showcasing global industry trends and innovations.

The fire safety market in India is witnessing a radical growth with market value expected to surpass US$ 4.94 billion by 2019. Increasing at 30% per year, the Indian commercial security market too is expected to surpass a value of US$1.4 billion by 2016. The combination of government initiatives, increasing awareness regarding fire safety and security, asset management and enhanced implementation and compliance with state level regulations has further fuelled the market’s growth.

Yogesh Mudras, Acting Managing Director, UBM India said, “Over 25% of the central PSUs have their registered headquarters located in Tamil Nadu. UBM India has strategically chosen the state capital to host SAFE 2015 owing to its accessibility to leading companies across industries. With SAFE 2015 being the only such trade event in the region; UBM India intends to offer market-entry and business opportunities to the growing market in the region while strengthening the supply chain cycle of the industry.”

 The event also acted as a launch pad for leading security companies to introduce products in an emerging market, showcase innovative products, solutions, and trends whilst establishing relationships with key decision-makers.

UBM India annually hosts IFSEC India, India’s biggest security event in New Delhi; a brand that has globally attained the coveted status in the security industry for consistently delivering on industry expectations. The expo hosts more than 250 exhibitors, several country pavilions and 12000 trade visitors each year.
