Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu asked people not to spread rumors about Tamil Nadu’s chief minister J Jayalalithaa’s health after visiting her at Appolo Hospital in Chennai.
“The doctors of the hospital briefed me about her health. They said Jayalalithaa is responding to the treatment,” said the Union Minister.
He added, “I am sure she will get will soon and return to her office to the earliest.”
Earlier Rahul Gandhi, Congress vice-president had visited the Appolo Hospital.
The Tamil Nadu chief minister was admitted to Apollo hospital on Sept. 22 after she complained high fever and dehydration.
However, the doctors on treating her was far more serious than normal fever.
Last week, it was said that the chief minister had fluid in her lungs and was being treated for an unspecified illness.
Apollo hospital on Saturday said that the respiratory support given to the CM is being closely watched and being adjusted accordingly. Doctors are continuing with lungs decongestion treatment.
The hospital also ae that all supporting comprehensive measures including nutrition, support therapies are being provided.
Meanwhile, opposition leaders have demanded appointment of deputy CM or an interim CM to take care of the administrative duties. However AIADMK till now has not shown any sign of hiring an interim CM.
