United Nation warns 1.4 million children to die due to hunger this year

As per the United Nations, the world is fronting its largest humanitarian disaster since 1945, UN urge plea for support to avoid this disaster.


Stephen O’Brien, UN Humanitarian Chief said that some 20 million people faced the threat of hunger and dearth in South Sudan and Nigeria, Yemen and Somalia.

In 2017, Unicef has cautioned in advance about 1.4m children can die due to hunger. Stephen O’Brien told that 4.4 billion dollars are needed by July to prevent the disaster.

He also said that in the commencement of the year we are fronting the main humanitarian crisis meanwhile the creation of the United Nations (UN).
