The voting for the fourth phase of assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh is underway in 53 Assembly constituencies spread over 12 districts. The fourth phase will witness voting in the backward Bundelkhand region and the Nehru-Gandhi stronghold of Rae Bareli. In the fourth phase polling today, around 1.84 crore voters will decide the fate of 680 candidates. Other districts going to polls in this fourth phase are Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Allahabad, Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Banda, Hamirpur, Chitrakoot and Fatehpur. The maximum number of 26 candidates are in Allahabad North, while only six candidates are featuring in polls in Khaga (Fatehpur), Manjhanpur (Kaushambi) and Kunda (Pratapgarh).
