Meera Garg, wife of a former Uttar Pradesh minister offered to donate one of her kidneys to the Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
“Her honesty and commitment towards the country and devotion for the welfare of people is an example for the whole country and BJP so I offered my kidney to Sushma Swaraj,” said Meera Garg to the media.
She stated that it would be a matter of great consolation if her kidneys are found fit for transplant.
Swaraj was admitted in AIIMS for medical treatment for renal failure on November 16. She was admitted at the cardio-neuro centre under the supervision of Balram Airan, Chief of the Cardio Thoracic Centre.
According to doctors of the hospital not authorised to talk to the media then had said that her condition is stable and had informed that the external affairs minister has a history of chronic diabetes which has affected her kidney functioning. She was also on dialysis during her stay in AIIMS. She is suffering for diabetes from last 20years.
After learning that Swaraj needs a kidney transplant score of people from different caste and community have offered to donate their kidney.
