USA denied giving visa to Pakistan’s senate deputy-chairman and largest Islamic party’s leader of the country Deputy Chairman was supposed to attend a meeting of Inter-Parliamentary Union at the U.N. headquarters in New York. Visa denial has caused cancellation of delegation of two members to visit USA on 13th and 14th February.
As per the sources visa on hold, can be seen as a technical refusal. Another member of delegation was given visa two days before.
Mentioning official sources, Express tribune said the Senate Secretariat applied for official visas for both members about 15 days ago. U.S. authorities told Senate Secretariat they will get back to it when the visa status of Haideri was asked by them.
Senate Secretariat‘s chairman Mr. Rabbani instructed to secretariat not to regale any USA delegation or diplomat till the issue is resolved.
