Newly elected Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be in Delhi today to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Parliament. Yogi Adityanath will arrive in Delhi this morning. BJP Parliamentary party is also meeting this morning.
Two deputy chief ministers and a 47-member Council of Ministers were sworn in by Governor Ram Naik in UP. Besides two deputies, CM Yogi Adityanath has 22 cabinet ministers, nine ministers of state with independent charge and 13 ministers of state. Yogi Adityanath, the 21st Chief Minister of UP, promised to work for all sections of the society without any discrimination, pursuing the agenda of sabka sath, sabka vikas.
The meeting is also important considering the BJP parliamentary party meeting scheduled at the similar timings in the morning and CM Yogi Adityanath has a task in hand to allocate the portfolios to his ministers.
A possible bureaucratic reshuffle in the state could also be discussed during the visit. The 44-year-old CM, who is a firebrand Hindutva leader, is also expected to call on President Pranab Mukherjee and vice-president Hamid Ansari besides meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Cabinet minister Siddharth Nath Singh said that the portfolios to new ministers of the state are likely to be allotted very soon.
