In USA, Foreign travellers may have to provide their social media passwords for circumstantial checks. As per the US Homeland Security Secretary the request of details could be the part of effort to strengthen checking of visitors. Mr. John Kelly added that they are willing to improve foreigner vetting by additional screening.
Mr. Kelly said “It’s very hard to truly vet these people in these countries, the seven countries… But if they come in, we want to say, what websites do they visit, and give us your passwords. So we can see what they do on the internet and If they don’t want to cooperate, then they don’t come in” to the United States.
This statement came, on same day, when Judges heard disagreements over President Donald Trump’s executive order of provisionally barring entrance of refugees and travelers seven countries which includes Syria, Iraq, Iran, Somalia, Sudan, Libya and Yemen.
