Siliguri, 14th September 2015: In line with its continuous endeavour to satisfy customer expectation, Vodafone India, one of India’s leading telecom service providers has launched its biggest nationwide consumer promotion -Vodafone Doublesoffering irresistible value benefits to both its voice and data customers.

Targeting the Pre Paid segment which holds more than 98% share in Vodafone’s subscriber base in Rest of Bengal circle, Vodafone has launched two customized ‘Made For You’ offering that is simple, easy & affordable- Double Data and Double Validity. 

Double Data: Keeping 40.9 Lakhs Data subscribers in Rest of Bengal circle in mind, Vodafone India to further encourage adoption of data as well as to reward existing data users, has launched Double Data offer.  Under the offer, all pre-paid subscribers will enjoy double the value of the chosen data pack. 

Double Validity: With a proposition of giving pre-paid customers a great reason to talk more at lower rates Vodafone India has launched Double Validity on rate cutter packs. The offer on rate cutter packs will enable customers to talk more at attractive rates, affordable prices and an opportunity to double the validity of the products at a nominal cost of INR 7.

Commenting on the occasion, Anand Sahai, Business Head, Kolkata & Rest of Bengal circles, Vodafone India said “Our research shows that users often ‘shackle’ their mobile usage due to the worry of ‘running out of allowance’. Hence in the form of ‘Vodafone Doubles’ we came up with the proposition of ‘more allowance being equal to more fun’, with the objective of giving them the opportunity to experience unshackled mobile usage. It is a refreshing new offering that blends affordability with customer empowerment.” 

Vodafone recently has crossed the milestone of 2Crore subscriber base across Kolkata & Rest of Bengal circle and has  a subscriber base of 154.75 lakhs in Rest of Bengal circle out of which the pre paid subscriber base stands at 152.14 lakhs (Aug 2015 exit).

“While Data has been a major growth contributor, mobile telecom services in Rest of Bengal circle are still largely voice dominated with 83of the market revenues contributed by Voice plans. Also 26% of our subscribers today use mobile internet, primarily for surfing, browsing, Email, social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Vodafone has been on a retail expansion drive to be able to cater to the growing needs of both urban and rural customers, and with the launch of two Global design stores in Coochbehar and Alipurduar, Vodafone has also crossed the magical figure of 52 Vodafone Stores across the circles. Vodafone has the largest telecom retail foot print in the circle.

Over the years Vodafone has consistently been awarded for best-in-class network, powerful brand, unique distribution and unmatched customer service and has established the leadership position in terms of Subscriber base, Revenue Market Share and Retail Footprint.

Continuing with its endeavor towards improving overall customer experience, Vodafone India invested over Rs. 600 Crores in Kolkata & Rest of Bengal Circles over FY 2014 -15 to strengthen its network by putting up around 749 and 2433 new sites in Kolkata & Rest of Bengal circles and expand its retail footprint with the opening of 24 Vodafone Global Design Stores across Kolkata & Rest of Bengal circles.
