VODAFONE EXPRESSES GRATITUDE TO 2 CRORE CUSTOMERS OF WEST BENGAL

LAUNCHES VODAFONE TREASURE – A SPECIAL INITIATIVE FOR THE SENIOR CITIZENS 

Kolkata, 20th August 2015: Vodafone India, one of India’s leading telecom service providers today announced crossing the milestone of2 crore subscriber base across Kolkata & Rest of Bengal circles thus reinforcing its leadership position in the region. 

Celebrating this momentous occasion, Vodafone has introduced a special initiative called Vodafone Treasures for the senior citizen customers. Under this program, all Vodafone customers above the age of 60 (males) and 58 (females) would be provided with the following facilities:- 

Approximately 50,000 senior citizens are expected to benefit from the Vodafone Treasures program. 

Speaking on the occasion, Anand Sahai, Business Head, Kolkata and Rest of Bengal, Vodafone India said “ This achievement signals a major milestone for Vodafone in the Kolkata & Rest of Bengal circles and is a testament of our focus on delivering quality products and services backed by innovations, that impact the day to day lives of our customers. It is a clear sign that our customer centric strategy is working and we are happy to announce the launch of one such customer friendly initiative – ‘Vodafone Treasures’ especially designed for the senior citizens who are treasures of our society. We remain committed to continue investing in bringing the best in class, innovative, relevant, products and services to win customer delight” 

Vodafone has been on a retail expansion drive to be able to cater to the growing needs of both urban and rural customers, and with the launch of Howrah, Coochbehar and Alipurduar stores, Vodafone has also crossed the magical figure of 50 Vodafone Stores across the circles. 

Over the years Vodafone has consistently been awarded for best-in-class network, powerful brand, unique distribution and unmatched customer service and has established the leadership position in terms of Subscriber base, Revenue Market Share and Retail Footprint.
